Bridges is always looking for caring adult mentors. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, contact us at 641-732-3566, or send us a message here.
New Mentor Training Process
Bridges staff will schedule a training session with interested volunteers. Bridges mentors who meet one-on-one with youth must be of at least 18 years of age.
All mentors are carefully screened to ensure the safety of Mitchell County children.
Once mentors complete the training process, we carefully match them with mentees based upon age, personality, and interests. After the initial match meeting, mentors are free to meet with their mentees at whatever times work for the families.
Staff are available to provide support to mentors and the families throughout the year. They will also plan group and community events, coordinate mentoring-related trainings, and host an annual mentor appreciation event.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
If mentoring is not a good fit for your life at the moment or if you are under 18 but would to donate your time and talents, feel free to contact us. We would love to discuss additional volunteer opportunities with you.
