Bridges receives significant funding from the United Way of North Central Iowa.  All other funds are raised through contributions from foundations & grants as well as donations from individuals, businesses, churches and civic groups.

We also sell spots to events (Marvelous Mentoring Meals) hosted by community members.  This year we had a Marvelous Mentoring Meal Kick-Off event that was held at Taste in Osage. People were able to come early and sign up for our mentoring meals while enjoying some tasty appetizers from Taste by Unc Cheesecake Inc, right here in Osage.  We’re always looking for people to host an event—your event-hosting choices are limited only by your own imagination. Tickets will also be available for purchase at our Chili Challenge Cook-Off on February 12th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church from 11a.m.-2p.m.

“Savory Soups for the Soul Progressive Dinner” @ Taste By: Unc’s Cheesecake Inc.                                       Date: January 19th 2017 @ 6p.m. Taste

The Mitchell County Bridges Mentoring Advisory Board members this year are partnering with chef extraordinaire Jessica Goodale to present an unforgettable Marvelous Mentoring Meal (Progressive Dinner)  Attendees will enjoy four courses of delicious, savory soups and pairings that only Chef Jessie and her staff can imagine. Reservations are required, cancellation fee’s do apply. This Progressive Dinner will be a bit different from Jessie’s normal Progressive Dinners, as the advisory board are going to be in the lime light waiting on tables, taking orders, etc. You wont want to miss this fun interactive evening enjoying some remarkable soups as well as learning more about the Bridges Program.

There are 23 tickets available for $35 per person or $60 a couple.

Sippin’ Behind the Scenes @  Taste

Join Jessica and Jereme behind the scenes at Taste. Jessica gives a hands on tutorial of each food preparation course, while Jereme provides you with knowledge on each cuisine’s paired spirirt-induldge in each course pairing!

“Ballroom Dance Class” at Our Saviors Lutheran Church
Date: March 12th 2017 from 2-5pm.
Hosts: Mark & Julie Maliszewski

Grab your dancing shoes and join Mark and Julie Maliszewski for a ballroom dance class taught by the Osage high school dance group. There will be three different dances for participants to learn. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.  There are 20 spots available. Tickets are $40ea or $75 a couple.

Guests will learn from a talented local artist Gelnda Ross who will instruct the featured step-by-step process of creating a one of a kind pottery dish. There is only 1 spot left for this event. Tickets are $50 each.
